Several organizations including VHP had called for a bandh inMadikeri to protest the government sponsored Tipu Sultan Jayanti celebrations, the protest march took a communal turn, leading to violence, the police had to rush in additional reinforcements to take control of the situation, several people were injured and one person died in the violence in Madikeri, Kodagu, on Tuesday 10th November 2015
